Over the past 30 years, coral reefs in the Philippines have been slowly dying. The most productive reef areas in the world are now known as some of the most endangered. Coastal development, sedimentation, dynamite and cyanide fishing, overfishing, pollution and global warming have all contributed to the damage.

The good news is that Reef Check has shown that it is not too late! Together we can reverse the decline of the coral reef health and productivity within as little as one year.
